Seminar | Anne Käfer & Douglas Hedley: Redemption in Friedrich Schleiermacher’s Theology

This Michaelmas term, Prof. Anne Käfer, DAAD visiting scholar, and Prof. Douglas Hedley will lead a series of six seminars on the nineteenth-century German philosopher and theologian Friedrich Schleiermacher. The seminar, which is titled: 'Redemption. A contemporary question theme explored through Friedrich Schleiermacher’s theology’, will be conducted through the study of selected paragraphs in Schleiermacher’s influential dogmatic work The Christian Faith. Both the German and the English texts will be used.

These seminars will run as follows:

Thursday, October 17th, 4-6pm - W1 Memorial Court, Clare College

Friday, October 18th, 2-4pm - W1 Memorial Court, Clare College
