Prof. Michele Abbate - "The absolute foundation of Beauty: from Plato to Neoplatonism"

Lecture delivered via Zoom

On 12 April at 5 pm (UK time), the Cambridge Centre for the Study of Platonism will host Prof. Michele Abbate via Zoom to deliver his talk, "The absolute foundation of Beauty: from Plato to Neoplatonism".

Prof. Michele Abbate is a Professor of Ancient Philosophy at the University of Salerno, Italy. He deals with Platonic and Neoplatonic tradition and with Presocratic thought (in particular: Anaximander and Parmenides). In 2004-2006 he won the "Humboldt Research Fellowship" at the '"Institut für Philologie", Universtät Würzburg. He also translated and commented on Proclus' "Commentary on Cratylus" (Bompiani, 2017) and the "Platonic Theology" (Bompiani, 2019).
