On the 21st of February at 5 pm (UK time), the Cambridge Centre for the Study of Platonism will host Dr Anna Corrias to deliver her talk, "Longing for Sleep: Marsilio Ficino on the Soul's Descent into the Body". The meeting will take place at the Faculty of Divinity, in the Runcie Room.

Anna Corrias is a Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellow in the Divinity Department, working on the reception of late ancient Platonism in the early modern period. Her interests lie primarily in the history of Platonism and of Platonic scholarship, ancient theories of the soul, and philosophical translations. She is the author of the monograph The Renaissance of Plotinus: The Soul and Human Nature in Marsilio Ficino's Commentary on the Enneads (Routledge, 2020), the co-editor of different collected volumes, including the newly published Harmony and Contrast: Plato and Aristotle in the Early Modern Period (Oxford Unversity Press, 2021), and of several articles.
